@dolcebb I think so. They are fine for me. Unfortunately I can only give you my opinion. I’m not a reseller. If it’s not appropriate for you, you can take it to a cobbler. With that said, it’s fine for me and this bag is 8-10 years old (I think). And at an excellent price based on the current market and way lower than my price when I purchased it.

@cdionne404 Hi. Can you tell me if the straps are ripped or the connection area ripped? I just don’t want to buy a bag with straps that are ripped from maybe heavy load.

@dolcebb I don’t know how to answer you questions. The straps aren’t ripped from a heavy load. If there was a rip from heavy loads it would be from the bottom seam of the strap, not the inner strap seam. I’ve shown pictures of how the straps hang which from my experience are looser in the phantom as opposed to the standard luggage tote. When I get home and get a chance, I will try to get another view of the straps.

@dolcebb I don’t see the rip. I do think some of the handles lean more than the others (as shown). I’ll take to my cobbler and see what they say and report back. Definitely don’t buy what you’re not comfortable with.

@dolcebb my guess is it’s normal wear and tear for age. But I’ll check as I need to take some shoes by there anyway.

@dolcebb I took the bag to Broadway shoe repair in seattle as they do all of my bags and friends’ bags….they said there are no rips but the piping on way side is longer than the piping on the other side. He said there’s nothing to really do about it. He said it’s a nice bag and to store it or sit it with the handles inward as shown on the picture. Your choice.

@dolcebb I understand. This is the most I’ve handled the bag in years. It’s so pretty. I just walked around the house with it…not even sure I should sell it. I think I just prefer the height of the luggage tote. The phantom is thicker and more of an east to west….but the all black is so sleek and pretty. So tempting to keep. I hope you love it.

@cdionne404 They are beautiful bags. I have the phantom in the patent leather and she is gorgeous. She has a more uniform shape so even though they are the same shape, they are almost two different bags.
