You can have this one at a fraction of the price. 😃 A little history… The Celine Macadam pattern, is characterized by intertwined "C"s inspired by the chain surrounding the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Céline Vipiana, the founder of Celine, was inspired by this design after her car broke down near the Arc de Triomphe. The Macadam print is named after John Loudon MacAdam, a British road engineer who pioneered the process that resulted in the laying the world’s first tarmac road, suitably, in Paris in 1854. It gained prominence in the 1990s, particularly when Céline became part of LVMH (Louis Vuitton) and was under the direction of Michael Kors.
