thegirlnxtdoor @makennaskye12 I bought them in the mall at sunglass hut. probably not long after they came out. I wore them right out of the store though so I don’t think I had a box. If I did, I threw it away. I have the soft case and the dust cloth thing. It’s my understanding that Poshmark would get them before the buyer to verify authenticity. Hope that helps some!

effeelou @onmyjetbitch we need to make sure that the CELINE paris on the outside of left arm is not just engraved into the plastic but actually PRINTED in gold lettering INSIDE if that makes sense. the hinges and the tilt look good and the spacing between the numbers and CE look good too.

thegirlnxtdoor @effeelou not sure what you mean about the engraving being on the inside but I can feel the letters when I run my fingertip across them, kinda like brail but surely not as pronounced. I’ll add a photo of the logo on the pouch and a close-up of the logo on both the outer and inner arm now!

thegirlnxtdoor @laurenbeccaroth ah sorry! it must be defaulting to that since I set the listing so high to avoid any immediate purchases. if you add it to a bundle you can make an offer there as a comment. it’s my understanding that you can’t find these for less than 1k these days because there’s an an usually high demand for them. that’s why they resell for more than what they retailed for, which wasn’t even $500 so I don’t know why I put that lol

onmyjetbitch @zxeka I bought the lux pair a long time ago... on their website they show photos of the real ones with the gold hinges but what you get are the fake ones with silver hinges. I've never seen a real pair of Celine edge with silver hinges. they should have gold.

effeelou @onmyjetbitch just fyi that some celine hinges are silver even if the detailing on the sunglasses are gold. don’t look at the color of the hinges, look at the number of prongs on them - double hinge is fake.

onmyjetbitch @effeelou interesting. I've personally yet to see an authentic silver hinged edge pair with the tilt of the lens. I've only ever seen silver ones that came with the fake Celine authenticity card but yeah for the most part I look for the tilt of the lens.

onmyjetbitch @gabbbssrosieee look for an inward tilt of the lens. if it doesn't have that it's not real. but also be wary of listings using stock photos and not actual photos. the stock photos have the tilt of the lens (like on the site that was mentioned here selling them) but that's not what you will get.

effeelou @onmyjetbitch yes because some of the blue edge styles actually have the silver hinges which are easier to find as authentic. I think what I did was look at bunch of blue versions of the edge too to help me see signs for the black ones. these glasses are a freaking treasure it’s crazy!!!

effeelou @gabbbssrosieee are the hinges silver and single prong? or are they double or triple? also outside of left arm logo needs to be gold metal lettering IN the arm, with the accent on the E, underlined, and with paris. the spacing of the CM and the celine on the inner right arm is important. a lot of the fake ones says CM 2 which they copied from the BLUE ones. the black ones are CM 3.

effeelou @gabbbssrosieee oh and to be clear, what @ohmyjetbitch was saying about the tilt - they lens should be tilted forward just like these, BUT the arms and the hinges should also match up to the tilt of the frame well. some fakes will do the tilt, and then the arms don’t go snug to the frame.

thegirlnxtdoor @effeelou Celine’s deal with Safilo ended which resulted in a new manufacturer coming in who made the blue edge with silver hinges. But that was short lived because they ended up changing manufacturers again not long after that because they didn’t like how they were made or something. Pretty sure that’s what I had read once.
