Cavaletti is an Italian word meaning “little jumps”, and is a technical equestrian term. Cavaletti are very small obstacles used either singly, or more commonly in multiple combinations, primarily for schooling young horses. Excellent for training both horse and rider, cavaletti help develop a horse’s agility, balance, muscularity, obedience, strength, stamina, and suppleness. This handy vintage pamphlet has cardboard binding, and was used originally as a supplement and companion to the Pony Club Handbook. Includes the history, drawings, diagrams, grids, and explanations. A simple beginning book for trainers and Pony Club instructors to use with young horses and students. Very basic and easy reading, geared towards Unrated and D Level Pony Clubbers.
