Honestly, I could find very little on it. My best guess is that it is in the style of antique bronze pieces used to burn ceremonial incense. I tried to get AI to translate but came up empty. It was suggested that it was a family name, although 4 characters makes me wonder. I believe it is Japanese. Chinese characters have more detail. Hope this helps. I think you are safe from assassins.
