Carl Schumann Dresden Style Reticulated Ducks on Lake Bowl Circa 1918 - 1929
Pretty reticulated porcelain bowl. Nicely decorated in the Dresden style with a scene of a duck on a lake and another duck flying over the lake. With flowers, trees, and a sailboat in the background. Has a border of fancy gold gilding in between the scene and the reticulation. With gold gilding along the edge of the bowl. Marked on the reverse in green with a crown above Bavaria. This mark was used by Carl Schumann between 1918 and 1929. In addition to the makers mark, there are two numbers painted on the back of the bowl. One is the number "20" and the other is "72".
This bowl is in excellent vintage condition. It does have a few small spots of wear to the scene and to the gilding. There are no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
