peacefulsea @2helenback no this hat is not gently used, yes it is smaller but stretches, it's a polyester as opposed to the one that is cotton poly so it has more stretch -- cannot guarantee anything more than what is listed the only issue may be that is is a little longer than a child's, but some people have given feedback that they run small
