Candle Light American Limoges Coburg Dustitone-Rose-LC Bowl & Plate Set Vintage This delicate example of American pottery comes in two beautiful pieces. The back stamp places these pieces as made between 1946 and the closing of the company in 1955. The Limoges China Company was founded in 1900 in Sebring, Ohio but had to be rebuilt after a devastating fire destroyed everything in 1903. They rebuilt and set their sites on proving that American raw materials were the match to English ones. The "American" in the name was added in the late 1940's after a lawsuit filed by the Limoges company operating in France.
