I ALWAYS ASK FOR MEASUREMENTS!
Can We Please Talk About Measurements? Part II
I am a Buyer (and a Seller also) and I always ask for measurements because of the following reasons:
1. Sizes vary from Brand to Brand.
2. When purchasing used/gently worn clothing sometimes, some fabrics do get stretched out.
3. When purchasing older versions of a Brand (I am NOT talking about Vintage) the manufactures made the sizes BIGGER for women back then than they do today. Even just a few years ago!
So, I always ask for Flat Lay measurements. The following are important to me, others may be important to others (please see my Pink Flyer โCan We Please Talk About Measurements? Part I):
Blouse or Dress
Shoulder Width: from left shoulder seam to right shoulder seam.
Bust: just under the sleeves, from left seam to right seam.
Length: Top of shoulder & right next to collar to hem.
Pant or Skirt
Waist: centered on the waist.
Rise: from the groin seam to the top of the pant/skirt.
Inseam: from the groin seam to the cuff. I check both sides.
Cuff/Leg Opening: centered on the cuff.
Thigh: just under the groin seam & diagonal across the leg.
Please feel free to copy use these [sic] flyers/slides yourself or forward this on to anyone as an informational/educational tool. I claim no rights to this information. Again, Posh Love ๐๐๐
