Cacique Lane Bryant Invisible Back Smoother Full Coverage 42DD 42E NWOT

This Lane Bryant cacique under wire full coverage Invisible back smoother bra is labeled as a 44DDD which ought to fit but digs into me. I tried it on but couldn't wear it. I love these bras/know my size and just got a brand new one with the same size/make, so I'm wondering if this is an oopsie bra? I would say it's more like a 42 DD. I knocked the price down accordingly and can also take measurements to verify before ordering.
