This photo is not identified on the back, but matches known photos of the boy, believed to be taken around 1989-1890. This image is a bust in slight vignette of the boy. He is wearing a Peter Pan collar and floppy bow.

*Rockwood studio was run by George G. Rockwood, who popularized the carte de viste (CDV) in America), and his brother Elihu R. Rockwood, a famous war photographer. They photographed the elite society of New York City in this era, including movie stars, politicians, and other rich and famous individuals.
*Alice Fox (1885-1971) & brother Austen Hoppin Fox (1877-1946) were the children of the affluent New York lawyer Austen George Fox (1849-1937) and Alice Hoppin Fox (1857-1933) *Alice would marry John Carl Arpad Gerster (1881-1874), one of the founders of The American Cancer Society, originally American Society for the Control of Cancer, which was first headquartered at his childhood home, 34 E 75th St NYC. {See my other listings for Gerster family photos}
