STRAIGHT FROM THE RUNWAY: When you want to look spectacular. Creatures of the Wind designers Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters showed this party sheath dress at NY Fashion Week — mixing a sophisticated color palette with strappy glitter and gold. High-cut crystal breastplates lead into spaghetti straps above and a flowing knee-length skirt below. The fabric's amber-gold leaves and brown background with deep purple undertones are sheer loveliness and literally sheer too, which adds a subtle ethereal feel (with a lining of course). A concealed zip closure in back creates a snug-fitting bodice while the skirt flows (w/pockets!). OMG, look at that model wearing this dress with TALL RED BOOTS! [😍 SWOON.] You can tell the quality of any garment by its seams. These seams are gorgeous. There surely was a way to stitch these edges to prevent fraying, but the use of a binding seam looks almost ornamental and is a sign of the fastidious detailing Gabier and Peters bring to their designs. And check out the beadwork — tiny crystals carefully stitched, the craftsmanship of over-achievers. CONDITION: LIKE-NEW. Perfect. Worn once by me and carefully stored away till now. Size 4 Chest: 16.5" pit to pit—measured flat, not incl the extra fabric created by the clever darts worked into the front seams of the dress panels. Waist: 15.5" across 👉 Don’t know this brand name?
