Orthoceras fossil pendants from Morocco are approximately 1 1/2” long & hangs from a 16” cord. They are reputed to nurture wisdom & self-transformation in the wearer. Orthoceras (“straight horn") were primitive nautiloids. These invertebrates swam in shallow seas using jet-propulsion & breathed with gills. Orthoceras lived from the middle Ordovician Period to the Devonian Period, from about 470 to 360 million years ago.
