Hi, these are actually a size 10 in US sizing it says on the tag. They’re a UK 7 1/2. That’s probably why they were so big when you tried them on. I’m super bummed cuz I thought I finally found these specific sandals in my size and at a very reasonable price 😊 but just wanted to let you know
