It was certified Gold in the UK by the BPI. Midnight Magic was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of "Best R&B Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus." Two of the three singles released from the album (both written by Ritchie) reached the Top-5 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
