Christian Wijnants launched his eponymous brand in Antwerp in 2003. Inspired by the city’s rich cultural heritage, the womenswear brand is known for its innovative knitwear, striking prints and a rich colour palette. The collections evoke a sense of ease, freedom and fluidity. Versatility is built into the design process. Wholegarment knitwear is produced in one entire piece, three-dimensionally, directly on the knitting machine. There are no seems, so the garment drapes beautifully and feels comfortable agains the skin. Wholegarment knitting reduces carbon footprint as only the exact required amount of yarn to knit a product is used. Meaning there is no surplus material. Extra fine merino wool means finer fibers than fine merino wool, which means it feels softer and is exrra comfortable.
