ally_marc @jimmycat Cont. then groom comes with his friends & family & brings the traditional instrumental music, “ douduk, drums, accordion” we dance drink eat for couple of hours then go to church & then to the reception. I’m sure you know all this. There’s a very good site Harsanik.com shows all this. Harsanik is the Armenian word for wedding. I don’t remember was it you who said has lived here in Pasadena among the Armenians?

My mom made these beautiful dresses for me she worked for a designer here in Los Angeles, beautiful dresses, sexy , exquisite elegant. Now, I’m more toned down but my daughter is like me, dressing very sexy, weird & different & sometimes I fight with her over her style, lol.

This made me smile so big, what a story of persistent fashion badassery in the face of the whole society telling women to turn it down, not dress too sexy, listen and dress for the male gaze, etc.. I assume that since you’re still happily married he eventually realized that having a beautiful and confident wife wearing wonderfully flamboyant clothes was not a threat to him and that he was, instead, blessed 😂!
