@raisinbuns Hello - I do not see anything like that. Because this is vintage (from a consignor that bought it new many years ago and she just wears items once or few times and then stores them nicely for years) maybe it was before that trend? I would put a chain or strap from one brass connector on the strap to the other side opposite. I just picked it up by those areas to see if that would work - seems sturdy and doable to me.
