thepostman71 Hi- typical sleeve length for a 42R is 26 inches. Was the jacket shortened. Is their room to lengthen the sleeves? Can you share the height of the original owner?

deathpile @thepostman71 hey thanks for thr interest! This is a 100% not true. I have measured thousands of suits and sport coats. The sleeve on a 42 R suit starts at 24 inches and goes up. 26 is where the L (long) starts. I hope this helps and measutments are correct. -CP

deathpile @thecableguy71 Finally back home. There is only about 0.5 inches to let out on the sleeves before it gets to the buttons. I dont believe this will work for you if you need 26 inches. I hope this helps and sorry again for the delay! -CP

thepostman71 I don’t think that he needs 26 inches. He is 6 ft 1 but we had him fit and he did comfortable fit in a 42 R. Granted it wasn’t a Canali Jacket. Benefit of a 26 is that it could be shortened. I think .5 inches may give him enough play.
