Couque refers to the Couque de Dinant, an extremely hard and sweet biscuit originating from Dinant, Belgium. This biscuit is made with just wheat flour and honey (or sometimes sugar is added in the variant called Couque de Rins) and is known for its distinctive hardness and intricate designs. Couques de Dinant are so hard that they are not meant to be bitten into, but rather broken into pieces and allowed to melt in the mouth or softened by dipping them in coffee or tea.
