Tapered legs. Byblos takes its name from a hotel in St. Tropez, France. Since its inception in 1973, based in Milan, it has been a grand hotel of fashion design, starting with a group of stylists, then engaging the Gianni Versace as designer (1975-1977), later Guy Paulin, and then other notable designers like Keith Varty, Alan Cleaver, Richard Tyler and more. In the 1980s, the colorful palettes and relaxed resort-influenced wear became a young lingua franca in fashion for the 20-something and 30-something generations.
