This is a vintage PEZ dispenser featuring a hippo from the "Kooky Zoo" or "Safari Animals" series. The character has a rounded snout, wide nostrils, and expressive eyes, mounted on a bright pink stem. The playful design reflects the cartoonish aesthetic of PEZ’s mid-1990s animal-themed releases. The underside of the stem is embossed with U.S. Patent 4,966,305 and Made in China, confirming its production origin. The back of the head is marked 1996 PEZ, verifying its licensing year and aligning it with the Safari Zoo collection. The dispenser is in excellent condition. The spring mechanism functions smoothly, and the head tilts back properly for candy dispensing. 2636
