The company began producing the Buffalo Check shirt around 1850, which means they've been rocking this plaid for over 150 years. Legend has it that Woolrich's designer of the distinctive style owned a herd of buffalo and that's how it got its name. This print builds on that vintage pattern in black and white buffalo print. I prewash the fabric with Arm & Hammer dye free and fragrance free laundry detergent before cutting the pattern to remove any dust or debris from the factory and so there is no shrinkage.
