This is an early Stone edition of the classic comic novel Brewster's Millions, bound in red cloth with the gilt and black winged coin design on the cover. Top edge is gilt, with original deckle (rough-cut) fore-edges.
Scarcer than the more common Grosset & Dunlap reprints, Stone editions are valued by collectors as the true first publisher's issue.
Condition
• Binding: Original red cloth with gilt design. Cloth shows light wear; spine is intact but binding is pulling away at the hinges.
• Pages: All pages present. Age-appropriate yellowing/toning, with some bent deckle edges.
• Edges: Top edge gilt remains visible; fore-edges rough-cut as issued.
• Markings: Previous owner's name ("Leland") handwritten on the first page.
• Overall: Good antique condition — structurally sound despite binding weakness, clean pages for age, attractive cover design.
