waltonheidi10 @daspenny hello, it’s a functional drawstring. However, there is one magnetic button type closure inside top center of the purse. The zipper pocket on the right side goes 3-4 inches across the front nearly to the other zipper. Phone, money, cards etc can easily fit. The zipper pocket on the left is smaller. The pocket goes to the left of the purse ~2inches across but the length of the zipper. You could fit smaller various items.

daspenny @waltonheidi10 thank you for that info. I'm really interested in this bag. It looks to me that both exterior zippered look the same. Are e taking about the same bag. It's a backpack, right?
