renewedshop @debra_sanders hi! it is wide because I spread it out on the hanger, however you can wear it as a scarf and wrap it around your neck or around your shoulders as a shawl, it’s not not as long in the back as a typical shawl would be. I mainly wore it as a scarf in the fall, winter, and spring. you could definitely wear it on summer nights too
