Homeward Bound" was the first snowman in the Carvers Choice series by the Boyds Collection, and he is one of the original large size figures. He is made of solid resin, and all hand painted with deep vibrant colors. He has the appearance of being carved from wood. He is considered a limited edition and is hand numbered on the bottom. Barnaby looks to be flying thru the sky with birds riding on his long cap, and he is carrying a nest full of snow balls. This fine example of folk art actually comes in two pieces. Barnaby has a metal pin in the bottom that fits over the post of the weathervane styled base. He will turn around on the post and you can point him in any direction, somewhat like a weathervane. If you collect snowmen, Barnaby would make a great addition to your group. He has such a happy face! This snowman sculpture will come in the original box. He is in new condition. The Carvers Choice series was introduced in 1998 and this snowman was one of the original pieces in the first release. Boyds Collection figurines have been highly collected since their introductions.
