luxueux @jessikaaav technically- they are removable actually. You can undo the knots and take out the strap.

luxueux And just to expand on this- I took a close up pic of the strap- so to remove you will have to undo the knot and then pull out the strap. In doing so, that little u shaped part will be visible from the outside but all the same color so not really noticeable.
