mattichristin @susannedmonds Hi there, the measurements posted are the waist of the jean laying flat, unstretched. For example.. if it says 13 inches, that means that in measures 13 inches across which essentially is a 26 inch waist. All manufacturers have a slight variation in size. A size 7 in one brand may be larger/smaller than a size 7 in a different brand. Therefore I post the waist measurements.

mattichristin @hhazel73 the best advise I can give is to measure across the top of your best fitting jeans. If you are a 28, a size 5 should fit you nicely.
