Book: Joy of Cooking by Rombauer & Becker

➡️ UPDATE: since I first posted this listing I've learned that Poshmark has weight limits and charges sellers extra for shipping items over 5 pounds. This book comes in at about 3-1/2 pounds, so it unfortunately couldn't be bundled with more than one or two light items. I've also recently learned a bit about how to refresh old books and remove minor stains, so I've been cleaning this one up and will have to retake photos and relist it. I should be able to do that soon. 🙂 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Hardback, 918 pages. Two ribbon bookmarks, illustrations. This is the 6th edition, published in 1975. "A standard in kitchens throughout the U.S." Very good pre-owned vintage condition. The top is a bit yellowed with age and the edges have a couple of small stains (see pics). Otherwise this copy is in excellent shape--I couldn't find any marks or creases on the recipes, and no missing or torn pages. A previous owner added a clear adhesive plastic protector to the cover. This edition includes over 4,300 recipes--all of the old favorites and the standard classics, as well as sections on backpacking, hiking, and substitutions. The 1975 edition was also the last to be edited by Marion Rombauer Becker and remains the most popular, with more than 6 million copies sold.
