Paperback, 290 pages, published 2012.
Very good used condition. Some signs of use--primarily a large fold (see pics) on the front cover and the first few pages, and there's a bit of cosmetic wear around the edges--but the binding is strong and all pages are intact. No cracks in the spine, no writing or highlighting.
"Journalist David K. Randall never gave sleep much thought until he began sleepwalking. One midnight he crashed into a hallway wall, and was sent on an investigation into a strange field of science. We spend up to a third of our lives sleeping, yet unless we are not getting enough, or are experiencing a sleep disorder, many of us rarely question what happens while we sleep. Taking readers from military battlefields to children’s bedrooms, Dreamland shows us that sleep isn't as simple as it seems. Why did the results of one sleep study change the bookmakers’ odds for certain Monday Night Football games? Do women sleep differently than men? And if you happen to kill someone while sleepwalking does it count as murder? This book is a tour of the often odd, sometimes disturbing, and always fascinating things that go on in the peculiar world of sleep. You’ll never look at your pillow the same way again." 😴 💤
