I'm thinking this copy might have been kept in someone's backpack for a while--or was simply banged about during transport to the store? Only the book knows.... At any rate, the cover is pretty well covered with indentations--as though it was rubbed against something during movement (see all pics, it was a bit hard to photograph these; they're not obvious from every angle)--and the edges and a couple of page corners show folds and nicks. Aside from these dings this copy actually looks as though it was very gently read by its prior owner: no writing, no highlighting, no cracks in the spine.
