Polish pottery dinner plate Unikat Art 117 was handmade, hand painted, and signed by the individual artist pre 1996 according to the maker’s mark. It appears that the pattern may now be called “Golden Tulip”. Minor scratches barely visible shown in pictures 8 & 9. Slight silverware etching shown in last picture.
Boleslawiec Polish pottery is made from white clay found in the riverbeds of Boleslawiec, Poland, and is known for its hand painted and hand sponge painted unique, colorful patterns and designs. Unikat, which translates as unique, is mostly signed by the individual artist who hand painted the “unique” design. The pottery has been fired at extremely high temperatures, a process that makes it extremely durable. Pottery/stoneware is dishwasher safe and microwave safe. It is lead and cadmium free.
