Boeing CST-100 Starliner Executive Model, 1:48 scale

This detailed, large scale executive desk model of Boeing’s Commercial Crew Capsule was designed and created by a former Chief Engineer for Boeing’s Florida Space Operations company. The model includes both the reusable CST-100 Starliner crew capsule and the Service Module. Of particular interest are the details showing the components making news headlines this year regarding the problematic thruster components (OMAC’s or “Dog Houses”). This model also shows the customized “aerofins” that are required only when being launched on the Atlas V rocket due to the differential outer diameter between the wide Starliner and the thinner Atlas Centaur upper stage. This desk model can also be used to encourage young students to aspire to pursue STEM educations and careers.
