Gorgeous 50's suit from Bobbie Brooks. It is very rare to find both pieces together in a suit! Warm wool, perfect for autumn & winter with a beautiful tailored fit. Fits Contemporary sz 4-6 nicely. Shown on sz 6 mannequin. Measurements: Jacket: Shoulders 15.5” ( this includes shoulder pads) Bust” 20” x 2 = 40” Hip Width 20” x 2 = 40” Length: 23.5’ Skirt: Waist 26” Hips 19” x 2 - 38” Hemline circumference: 40” + 3” pleat = 43” Length: 28” Skirt is a slight A-line w a 3” wide, 8” deep kick pleat in center back which makes for a very sexy walk. Condition Excellent. Has been professionally dry cleaned. Both pieces have original labels. Fabric looks & feels new. Jacket is perfect. Skirt has a faint splotch in one red square that did not lift in cleaning. It does not show when worn due to busy plaid print. & is so inconsequential that it would not show up in photograph! I mention for full disclosure. Set is amazing for is age & presents beautifully. Plaids are perfectly matched. Skirt has metal zipper in side seam &1 button. Back of skirt is lined. Both Pieces can be worn together or as separates in many combinations .I like skirt or jacket paired w/ black, navy or dark green wool. Also looks great w/denim. Skirt can be teamed w/a white blouse or black sweater & is a 50's classic w/ a red sweater set! This is such a versatile ensemble!
