@suzykool Seriously? That's not even remotely true...at all! I know what your listing says about OS and that's why I asked for the measurements. I always ask the seller if their listing doesn't state them already or have the photos showing the measurements to look at myself.

@suzykool But beanies do vary from brand to brand (sometimes substantially), age group, gender and fit differently, sometimes by alot and also by who the OS is intended for but that usually doesn't matter most of the time anyway especially with so many varying sizes of heads/hair. Some people can wear whatever fits no matter who the intended audience is for.

@suzykool But beanies are made for different types just like everything else is and includes infants, toddlers, juniors, teenagers (13+), adults, etc., then in each of those groups are men's/boy's, women's/girl's or unisex. So when you said "basic beanie size", that's generally speaking but also varies depending on the individual as well.

@suzykool And also when you're saying that there's "extra on top as shown" it doesn't really mean much either about how it fits me, how I like them to fit or anyone else for that matter as opposed to the mannequin's head wearing it. I don't have the slightest clue how big or small that could be on me anyway.

@suzykool There's also different styled beanies including "slouch" beanies that have the top very long and hangs down in the back but it doesn't mean because there's "extra on top" that I'm going to pull that all the way down and cover my face, neck and shoulders...lol! It's just a style to have it look like that, there are quite a few different beanies and beanie styles. Even one's hair or lack thereof also plays a factor. I have long, thick "Marley" looking dreads.

@suzykool So I know for a fact that the beanie on the mannequin's head would not even come close to fitting me even with dreads down but the bald headed guy down the street could wear it easily even though our heads, minus my dreads, are exactly the same size. But it's not for me anyway, I'm interested in it for a friend or else I would have never inquired about it in the first place because I know it wouldn't fit me and I mainly wear handmade tams anyway.

@emasma that is okay I actually just wasn't able to take it to a measuring tape and tried to give you a general idea adult size the most average you can think of and when I get home I will get out the measuring tape for you and post the specifics

@emasma ok according to my daughter its on the small side...it is 7 inches unstretched and 7 inches high...so depending on who you are getting it for...it fits me fine. little head with slightly bushy hair..lol

@suzykool Oh wow, that's very small! That means it would only be a "14 head circumference. My daughter's is 18.5" so it wouldn't come close to even fitting her, although it wasn't for her anyway. That's why I always ask for measurements, "OS" could mean anything...lol! Appreciate the help, thanks!

@emasma I have been running around a lot I just guessed on the measurement but I did want to add that all the items I purchased from this vendor wear handmade in Peru so it is a handmade piece I am picking up my son and heading home I will go dig it out to get you the exact measurement
