Her work is often inspired by the ancient Japanese belief of "Yaoyorozu no kami," which means that all beings and objects have a spirit and divinity within. The plates are made of white stoneware with hand-painted black slip and sgraffito decoration, an organic shape, and sometimes incised rims.
