Structurally very similar to a climbing shoe, but flat soles, relaxed heels, and a less aggressive toebox are generally what set them apart from climbing shoes. Rubber compound soles that extend over the toes are in perfect condition. the rubber is unbelievably unbothered on these and the entirety of the sole is rubber in order to grip as much rock as possible. Breathable mesh uppers have enough stretch & reinforcement to get a good toe-in on rock without losing structural integrity. long stretchy laces extend far down the upper to hold you in securely while you move, just like climbing shoes. Soft, squishy, but thin tongue and heel. Almost a sock-fit in the heel, and a bit high so you can switch between climbing shoes quickly and comfortably. I'm obsessed with these. Some climber will wear the hell out of them. I bought them from someone who sold them as soon as they tried them on because they didn't fit. Turns out they don't fit me either. I only took a lap around the house in them. They are true to size for Black Diamond shoes, so a bit slim like a climbing shoe, but without the aggressive toe box or heel.
