Bitossi vase, ceramic red, gold. Small scale vase with perfect proportions, glazed in a textured red with a gilt glazed tapered base from Bitossi's "Cinese" series. Aldo Londi's "Cinese" series of decorative accessories (vases, lamps, candle holders, and sculptures) drew heavily from the forms and patinations of ancient Chinese bronze vessels. Bitossi distributed the Cinese decor via New York's Rosenthal Netter. Signed on the underside "52/33 Italy" with Rosenthal Netter decal.
