BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather w/ a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 mm as upper material. Contoured cork footbed is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. A natural product is insulating & offers good custom support & cushioning. EVA outsole (ethylene vinyl acetate) is flexible, lightweight, a high-quality, very light, elastic material w/ extremely good cushioning.
