Americana • Retro Garage • Industrial Decor
Scarce 1940s Biltrite Heels & Soles – Nuron advertising thermometer made by Robertson Sign Co., Springfield, Ohio. Heavy embossed tin with raised shoe and heel graphic, “We Rebuild Like New!” slogan, and Biltrite horse medallion at the base. Brilliant red enamel gloss, crisp graphics, and intact glass thermometer (non-registering).
Collector-grade display piece — this embossed red variant is among the hardest Biltrite signs to find, prized for its bold color and exceptional shine. A true crossover collectible for vintage advertising, garage décor, and industrial Americana.
⸻
This mid-century trade sign was originally distributed to cobbler shops and shoe repair counters across the U.S. as part of Biltrite’s 1940s “Nuron” campaign. Beautiful depth from the raised heel, gloss enamel that still pops, and authentic Robertson emboss mark on back. Thermometer present but non-working.
