leemagee22 Thank you for posting this!!! It happened to me- I purchased a pair of leopard UGG boots, that looked like UGGS when I was super new to Posh- then I re-sold them, not knowing they weren’t real and I had trouble with the sale!!! Buyer/Seller beware!!!!

grayshifter @leemagee22 yeah, the counterfeit ones are really pretty good and it’s so easy to be fooled. That’s why when I see a counterfeit, I gently let the seller know - because they might not know at all! Most sellers are gracious and re-list as a replica. However, some sellers leave me angry comments, block me, and relist so my comment is gone. The people who actively try to defraud buyers are the worst. They know what they’re doing. It’s really really unethical.

grayshifter @leemagee22 One delightful seller of fakes (a Posh ambassador no less) made a whole new account to come to my closet to anonymously insult me. Very classy. There’s no way Poshmark can stay on top of the avalanche of fakes, so even though I always report, I do what I can to educate buyers, too. You said it - caveat emptor.

No need for drama on Posh- especially when we’re all just trying to look out for one another... it’s true, I had no idea what was happening when it happened to me, and I was really upset about it. Not only for selling them, but purchasing them too! I paid for them- and they weren’t even real! So unethical! If you’re going to sell- sell responsibly! It’s not fair to anyone if you don’t.. 👎👎

haineyboutique The better way is follow Poshmark rules and flag, flag, flag the actual listing. So that it's removed from the site altogether. While some buyers will see this post, no one would be able to see "flagged" posts. It's like if you see something say something! Thanks for the educational listing. 🌸🌼🌺💡🙏

grayshifter @haineyboutique oh, i flag the heck out of the posts. And the users. Usually a dozen times apiece, every time I see them. I’ve flagged some users/posts 30+ times. Nothing ever seems to happen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But yes, please everyone flag fakes.

haineyboutique @grayshifter --funny thing--I politely informed a seller that the item she listed broke Poshmark rules rather than flagging-- she responded "I didn't know you work for Poshmark" and "mind your own business". This seller has a spotlight on my comment page on How Not to Posh! 😂 Thanks for providing this safe place to commune!

pyork2022 @haineyboutique wow…how rude!!! I mean all u we’re doing was trying to help them out. I would have appreciated that but I’m not selling fakes so that was probably her issue… Lol. I had someone (from another app) give me a tip about shipping that saved me…. if I would have shipped in the wrong packaging I would have had an issue. I know it would’ve been in the world but I don’t know anything negative on my page I’m sure you all agree!!
