Check out the print differences between the bright blue birdseye (authentic) and the stripe (counterfeit). Sloppy lettering on the URL and size. But the counterfeit is also printed on a fabric label, so just because it’s on fabric doesn’t make it authentic! When in doubt, ask for a close-up of the label!

Great post. So many fakes making their way on these resale sites now. That are damaged/shruken shoes :(

Exactly!!! The fabric is not the be all, end all!! Please post this info on that original listing that talks about the fabric label. I’m so tired of spotting fakes and having it dismissed bc “well it has a fabric label”
May 29Reply

      cashmerewhore
@kolerlove the care instruction photos are blurry too. I have some pre-drain hole points I wasn’t sure about, but they are definitely legit after seeing this label.

@cashmerewhore hi! Which is the authentic pair in the above pics? I just got a pair of Rothy's (from them) and I want to make sure if I purchase any on here to look for the difference.

Are the innersoles different? My friend asked me about a pair that has engraved size on bottom of innersoles but mine have stickers? Mine are newer tho and I don't have older pairs? Curious! Thanks
Sep 28Reply

      cashmerewhore
@clayjay0610 newer styles have both, however some people peel the size stickers out of the shoes

Any idea why some soles have half numbers like 7 1/2 and other have 7.5? I'm trying to buy some and I have seen the exact same shoes with only this difference. Thanks!!

@horsecrazymp Right! I did the same thing- it's barely noticeable (the fake label). And what is a Drainhole!?
Mar 02Reply

      jewelrygirlz
Hi - thanx for sharing! Is the messy stitching , on the fake, a "normal" indicator of a fake? Also, I'm a little confused about the sizing. I read size up a half size, especially if your foot is on the wide side, but some people said they sized up and they were too big? It's not a huge deal breaker but do you suggest the sizing up? Thanx- Jill

Fake or not I actually love my Rothy's purchased at a greatly reduced price from the current retail price. I believe that they are way overpriced for the product and all its value signaling pretensions.

Hi! Can anyone help? I bought Points on here because they are out of flax on the site. I have a pair so I know I needed 7’s. So them for $90. Got them and either they are fake and they were shrunk, or just shrunk and don’t fit because of it. Do y’all think Posh will accept the return?

I was that unfortunate one who purchased a fake pair from Poshmark. The case is under investigation now, and I'm not giving the name of the seller yet. BUT, $120 is spent! Be aware. I had no idea that fake rothy's exist before I bought this pair.

Thank you for posting this! I just received and accepted my first “Rothy’s” today. They were way too tight, so I reposhed them immediately. Someone told me they were fake in the comments and I removed the listing. I’m hoping Poshmark will refund my order since I hadn’t realized they were fake when I accepted them and it’s within hours of receiving them.

@cashmerewhore I have a pair I bought from Mer**** that I would love for you to check out if you can 🙏🏽 the stitching on the back doesn’t look very clean but when I compared them to my two that I got directly from Rothy’s, it didn’t look that bad.

Thanks for sharing this, I’m pretty sure a pair of loafers I purchased may be fake. They look SO similar to my other pairs I purchased directly from Rothy’s. I didn’t doubt it until now, the Rothy’s emblem on the label isn’t in a complete circle. Idk how I missed that. I guess you live and learn right?! Otherwise they are exactly the same as my other Rothy’s.

Oct 18Reply

      cashmerewhore
@tulip_0015 manufacturing variances. Some have sizes printed on the bottoms. If they do or don’t isn’t a sign of being fake.
Oct 19Reply

@irureur_14h0chw I buy and sell a lot of Rothy’s and the best way I know they are not hiding anything is by lots of photos and if you ask for more they will add them. 😊 hope the pair worked out for you.

Ack, this is very helpful. I just realized I purchased a pair of fakes, what a bummer. One question - do the original points have the Rothy’s logo on the insole. I have two pair that look authentic based on all the signs, but neither insole has the logo, just “Rothy’s”
