Vintage Belt Buckle Fort Dodge Dragoons Iowa 1983 Embossed Serial #199 USA Made By Siskiyou Buckle Co. Beautiful intricate design. Normal wear and tear due to age and use. Fits a 1-3/4" belt. Historic Fort Dodge, Iowa designed by Major William Williams. Fort Dodge was one of five forts build to protect white settlers from the Sioux. However, as not all tribes were hostile, the forts also served the peaceful purpose of trading centers.
