Beautiful Vintage 800 Silver Austria Filigree Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch/Pin

This is a wonderful vintage gold over genuine 800 silver shell cameo pendant that was crafted in Austria. It measures 1.28 inches high by 1.08 inches wide and weighs 7.0 grams. The filigree border has very intricately detailed designs that are highlighted in silver and gold. Even the movable bail is very highly detailed. The shell camo itself is stunning. This piece is stamped 800 on the backside with Austrian assay markings. It can be worn as a pendant as well as a pin or brooch. It is in excellent condition! Circa 1930s-1950s. 800 silver is a metal alloy containing 80% pure silver (800 parts per thousand) and 20% other metals, usually copper, to add strength and durability to antique and vintage European jewelry.
