Being born an artist and teaching Early American Decoration in Massachusetts for 30 years, Hartshorne began quilting in 1982, creating hundreds of beautiful pieces over the course of 40 years. Hardly one to do the same thing twice, Hartshorne created quilts in a variety of themes and fabrics. Several were made solely with fabrics from Africa. Each piece is truly one of a kind.
