During that time, Providence was considered the jewelry capital of the world and Southern New England bustled with textile mills and jewelry manufacturing companies. In the 1950's & 1960's, Beaucraft was considered one of the major US manufacturers of silver jewelry. Beaucraft was nationally known for making 3D moveable charms that were both perfectly polished and of the highest quality. The items created were mostly sterling silver and/or gold-plated.
