I love offers but am not desperate. This is not a flea market.

This happened to me just the other day! They offered less than half the list price so I countered at list price, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and they had the balls to counter with exactly half list price. I was floored!
Jan 21Reply

ambentzen
@arndtangie exactly! I just had two offers in a row like that and it infuriates me! I countered one person and they offered a dollar more than half. I just can’t believe people sometimes. I’ve been all over this app and I’d say just about every seller has reasonable prices. It’s like some people just want things for free lol. I hope you have a good posh filled day! Xoxox 💜
Jan 21Reply

arndtangie
@ambentzen Thanks love, you too!!

I know how you ladies feel, it has happened to me several times! I wonder what people are thinking when they do that, I like the"I'm not desperate & this isn't a flea market" part! 😊 Yeah it's not cool, I know we're negotiating here but it's even more insulting when I receive an offer for more than 50% off!! I ignore them now 😊 like to let their offer just expire and let them think they have a chance! 😀
Jan 22Reply

ambentzen
@hailtofashion i was doing that but then I got a few back to back within a couple min and lost it for a second lol. That’s really the better thing to do. Just to ignore it. It just makes me crazy. I would never offer someone half or less than half of their listing price. I going to try that again. Just ignoring them. Thank you 😊 xoxox have a great day 💜
Jan 22Reply

hailtofashion
@ambentzen Awww!! Thank you so much 😊 it would be nice if Poshmark had a feature where offers that are 50% or less can't be sent 😊 it is super irritating! This is good though I'm gonna make one for my closet too 😊 thanks for the great idea 😊 Have a beautiful day!! Much love to you too 😊💞💞
Jan 22Reply

ambentzen
@hailtofashion you’re very welcome. Yes it would be nice if it wouldn’t even allow those kinds of offers to go through. Thank you. Have a happy posh filled day! Xoxox 💜

This just happened to me yesterday, someone basically asked for two items bundled for way less than the price of one of the items, I got so annoyed! (Thanks for making a space where I could vent!)
Jan 23Reply

@shuniz you’re very welcome. 💜. Some people are crazy lol. It is very annoying. I’m trying my best to not let them get to me. Have a great day! Xoxox 💜😊

I love your listing. I’ve been wanting to say this exact thing to a few potential buyers. 😊
Jan 24Reply

ambentzen
@monikens thank you. I just couldn’t help myself after getting a few in a row. I had other things up about being considerate when making offers and the reasonable offer chart but I guess some people weren’t getting it so I put it right out there in my frustration. Since I’ve put this up I have gotten less offers like that. Much love and Happy Poshing! Xoxox 💜

@ambentzen now that’s great. I wish you every success ❤️

I love this!! It drives me crazy when a fellow Posher does it!!! I had a $10 item and was offered $4. I felt like saying. "Oh honey, if you can't afford it, I will give it to you" but I didn't! Kept my mouth shut and came back with my original price and she bought it!!!!
Jan 24Reply

ambentzen
@derinda it completely infuriates me! I lowered the price of something the other day and he shipping was lowered and someone offered me like $8 less than what I had lowered the price to. I couldn’t believe it. I thought do you expect me to give it to you for free? Lol. She ended up paying the price I wanted but I can’t believe the nerve of some people. Much love to you xoxoxo 💜
Jan 24Reply

derinda
@ambentzen oh sweetie!!!! Get used to it. I have been selling for 5 years and it never ceases to amaze me how people act!!! I come back with. I am sorry we couldn't agree on the sale price but since I am trying to make a living, I can't lose money. I am sure you understand that I had to purchase the item with gas, mileage and time. I had to was, iron, and take pictures and do the listing. Of course I had to buy the detergent, fabric softener and electric for the dryer
Jan 24Reply

derinda
@ambentzen after that I had to but storage containers to safely store your item in and of course I spent hours sharing this item, day in and day out. When you do purchase, I gave to use my own packing supplies. Paper, tape, boxes and again, the time. After all that, I use my car and gas to go to the post office and stand in line for God only knows how long to send your package out and then drive home using my car and gas.
Jan 24Reply

derinda
@ambentzen and after all that, I have to do paperwork so the IRS gets their share and then figure out state sales tax and let's not forget the 20% fee Poshmark charges on orders above $15 and a flat fee of $2.75 on anything under $15. So your offer or sale of $5, doesn't net me anything, and I am sure you don't work for nothing. Have a great day. Of course I copy and paste all that!!!!
Jan 24Reply

ambentzen
@derinda that’s awesome!!!!! I usually get so aggravated I can’t think of all that! Lol. You’re absolutely right though and they don’t think of those things at all!
Jan 24Reply

First, Mads Mikkelsen ( Dr Lecter) delivering your message is priceless. Two, your message is important and fair! Sellers need to be treated fairly and with respect as I do all my buyers. I read quite a bit of this feed and agree we can’t work for nothing. And the photos, Time , listing, shipping IS work. So fight the good fight - Mads is in our side😉
Jan 25Reply

ambentzen
@fashnminx thank you! Exactly and I think some buyers don’t see any of it as Work and it takes a lot of time to take photos, the description, listing the item, packaging the item and taking it to the post office. It absolutely is work. I just believe we as sellers should be treated with respect and fairness as our buyers want us to treat them. I’ve found I’ve had more people offer seriously low offers when they’re not sellers themselves. Thank you and have a fantastic day! Xoxox 💜

@ambentzen this is so so annoying! I literally have people doing this to me all the time with times that NWT ORGINALLY $80 and listed for $25, like hello my listing is reasonable. I mean yes make an offer but not $5.
Anyways would you mind if I used this in my closet to share with those people?? If not I totally understand but this breakdown and verbiage is right on. Thanks so much for sharing

@ambentzen Now I have to. I just got offered $8 on a jacket I have listed for $18. I just found it used on two other sites for $42 and $50............. I don’t think I even want to waste my time declining the offer:/
Jan 28Reply

jangelajewelry
I’m glad someone said it. Some people have no shame! I listed a dress for $250 (from $700), only worn once. I was offered $39!!!!!!! Are you kidding? I straight up decline it. She resubmitted for $45. Decline. Very rude to do that, especially knowing PM takes so much of the sale.
Jan 28Reply

ambentzen
@ravenleigh524 wow. Yeah just ignore it. It’s better that way. That’s what I’m working on. Trying to not let it get to me and just ignoring it. It’s definitely hard sometimes though xoxox 💜

ambentzen
@laurap13 no it’s not you! I had someone the other day bundle over $70 worth of jewelry and I offer a discount on bundles so it would’ve been less than that and they offered me $30. No way! There’s so much time and money involved in each piece of jewelry I thought that doesn’t even pay for one of the bracelets you bundled! Good luck and stay strong! Much love xoxox 💜

Feb 07Reply

@lsm310 no not all! I’ve been considering that myself. There’s one person that keeps seriously lowballing me on my jewelry and if I were to accept her offers I wouldn’t even recoup the money it took to make the jewelry. We are here to sell but reasonably. No give our items away. I know of other people that block low ballers I wish you much success and love xoxox 💜

I'm on 2 other sites making a killing, I have a hard time with the amount of money PM takes from sellers and quarry they charge buyers for shipping... ive focused elsewhere and am doing really well, so...i still have bat in case of emergencies lol

@derinda I 💜 your response to potential buyers. It is eloquent. As stated in an earlier post, I have second-hand embarrassment from the undercut offers. lol
Feb 08Reply

globalboutique
@ambentzen I enjoy a slamming (pun intended...lol) deal as much as the next buyer. I (try!) to refrain from sending offers that may have a seller seething. I also realize that "lowball" can be 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘭𝘺 subjective. What may be acceptable to one seller might not be to another. However, we can all agree that being kind to one another is priceless. Happy Poshing, PFs!
Feb 08Reply

derinda
@globalboutique thank you! Feel free to copy and paste anytime you get lowball offers!!! Good luck💕💕
Feb 08Reply

globalboutique
@ambentzen @derinda I used to offer a bundle discount. However, I noticed a pattern of undercutting prices despite of the discount. And those who are determined to lowball will do so with or without the bundle discount offer. My closet has fared better since the removal of the bundle discount.

I always enjoy a venting thread like this, because I often wonder, "Is it me? Is this person nuts?" I have an $8 dress and someone offered $6! $8 is too much, but $6 is worth it? The decision rests on taking TWO dollars out of my wallet?
Feb 10Reply

sonoio
I usually decline lowballers because it bugs me when I make a counter on my already low price and THEY decline my counter. The other thing that bugs me is when I DO offer more than my bundle discount and they buy it, they will leave 5* but they don't leave a "love note" which helps me and is an easy gesture. Some days on here are harder than others

Give me a break I am so sick of this spoiled seller mentality on here. As far as I’m concerned, this may as well be a flea market, have you seen some of the garbage people are selling? One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Not to mention the wholesalers getting .50 items from China and then selling them for $55 🙄🙄🙄 (continued)...
Apr 20Reply

eschwebs
(Continued) I welcome any offer (I’m not desperate either) because I know that the population on here includes single moms and broke college kids. I understand you have a living to make, sell on eBay then. If an offer is too low don’t get waste your energy by getting offended and just decline it 🙄😒

Love this! One of my favorites 🙄is when people offer much less or even just less for an item that is priced as FIRM and written FIRM everywhere on the listing and in the photos. I clearly state it is the lowest price. Omg!!! It drives me crazy. I don’t like to inflate my prices to account for outrageously unfair offers but I’m forced to because people continue to lowball. I struggle with pricing all the time because of this!!! I feel better now!!!!

I saw your sign when sharing does this help? Lately this is all l am getting and most of them aren’t even 50% more like 75% of my price. I had someone tag me on the listing l have @ 265 all she said was 100 what’s that an offer not even would you accept just “100”. She wasn’t a seller but a lot of my low ballers are and to me that’s way worse. Anyway just venting my frustration thanks helps to see lm not alone in this💕

Love this post!! If I have a persistent low baller, I’ll go to their listings and often see the same items for more than my asking price! If that’s the case, I often just offer a ridiculously low ball offer on their listing to make a point! 😆 😈
Aug 29Reply

@indieandbee that made me smile! I love it. It’s so very frustrating when people do that. I’ve been dealing with one for two days now. They keep offering like $15 for a $50 item. I really wonder what some of these people think lol. I may try what you said you do. I like it. Thanks for sharing xoxo

@ambentzen I find it a little offensive when people send over half off of listed price lol I had 5 lowball offers yesterday but 1 of them just really irked me. She sent me an offer for $100 on 8 of my NWT UA listings. I messaged her and told her please don't send me low offers. She called me rude and said she can get them cheaper on TJ Maxx, (which I know she can't lol) I just asked her why she just didn't purchase them from there then 😜

I have had two so far today...first one came up to meet me at 10% off where I listed it, which I am always okay with.
The second one hasn’t.
I’m trying to give people the benefit of the doubt, but seriously??
Jun 22Reply

rockcandystyle
@nonnastreasure I have noticed that the ones who are willing to pay give you the best reviews.
Any time I have caved to give someone a deal or ran a sale because I felt pressure that my sales were slumping(thank you Posh algorithms!) I wind up with a bad review or some kind of a headache. (“they didn’t fit” like it’s my fault you don’t know your size on a popular brand like Lucky?? 🙄)
Jun 22Reply

rockcandystyle
@nonnastreasure So irritating after you take the time to write a nice thank you, wrap it and add a free gift inside.
Glad to know it’s not just me!! 💖
Jun 22Reply

nonnastreasure
@rockcandystyle the algorithm is horrible! Some people sell thousands of dollars and I'm lucky if I sell 20 dollars every 2 months.🤔 Now that we can sell items other than clothes it's becoming the next e*bay and m#rcari. 🙄
Jun 22Reply

rockcandystyle
@nonnastreasure I’m fairly new to Posh(I was living in a vacuum for a bit 😂), but in the short time I have been here it’s changed a lot.
I have discovered a few ways of beating the algorithms(from other Poshers), but they’re time consuming. I can’t spend all day and night on here.
One of them is deleting and resisting. I started trying to do one a day. @emilydaehtop is running a 30 day challenge that’s helping.
Jun 22Reply

nonnastreasure
@rockcandystyle I've heard that one of deleting and relisting but that's soooo much work
Jun 22Reply

rockcandystyle
@nonnastreasure I’m getting faster at it. I don’t delete any pictures unless I sell an item.
Then before I delete the original listing I copy the description so I can paste it back into the new one. Then I try to tweak it with a few changes and add a couple of key words to the bottom to try and attract buyers who might be searching for an item.
Saves a bunch of time!! 😊😉
Jun 22Reply

rockcandystyle
@nonnastreasure it works because I sold a pair of sweatpants that I didn’t think would ever sell(I had been getting a few lowball offers on them too!! They were Juicy Couture-not the Kohl’s version, the original higher end) the day I relisted them.
It’s just keeping up with it and not getting discouraged.

Well I think it’s frustrating for the buyer because people buy out “sale” items and then try to resell them on this app for the original price. It’s easier to find brand new clothing on retail sites than it is on this app at times.

Dec 19Reply

I have sooo enjoyed reading this posting- the low offers make me question people’s sanity. Makes me want to ask them if they would work for 50% of their normal pay and be okay with it? If you haven’t sourced, cleaned, photographed, listed, shared and shared and shared..., then packaged and delivered to the post office, you have no idea how much work is put in.

@ambentzen 🤬🤬🤬GIRRRRRRL!!!! I just had someone bundle not one but TWO brand new DESIGNER bags that flat out read in the title “CRAZY ONE DAY PRICE” and “FINAL MARKDOWN” ....and offer me on the total of $135 (which is insane for a $430 PATRIZIA Pepe and a $400 Marc Jacobs hobo) .....ready ready ??!
SIXTY DOLLARS. and she’s NOT new to posh 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@brilldelights omg! I can’t believe the nerve of some people. That’s crazy. It seems to me people like that think we owe them something or they deserve to pay nothing for what they want. I have no idea where people get these ideas from. Idk why they think offers like that are ok.
Feb 07Reply

brilldelights
@ambentzen right ?! It really burns my buttons 😤😤😤 I shop on my family’s buyers license in NYC garment district at designer and big brand distributors AND I have a friend who’s worked for Barneys NY for a decade so I use his discount....my prices are CRAZY low. Plus posh taking 20% I would have received $48!!! She has a full closet set up too!! And to think I got EXCITED when I saw someone was making a bundle 😔😖🤯🤮
Feb 07Reply

brilldelights
@laurag_finds Wow 😳 I didn’t even consider all that you said above.....the sourcing, posting, pics, etc....grrrrrrr!!!! 😡😡😡😡
Feb 07Reply

laurag_finds
@brilldelights There seems to be a pervasive attitude of entitlement everywhere and it’s spilling over into Poshmark. Normally sane reasonable people, who wouldn’t dream of walking into Macy’s or even Walmart, and offer to pay 80% of their cart value, feel it’s okay on a “reselling platform “. Sad thing is, you have some sellers so desperate to make any sale, they take the offer. That’s sets up an expectation ALL of us will accept low offers.
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@laurag_finds that’s so true! I’ve said almost those exact words when telling people of ridiculous offers I’ve received on here. Of course I need the money, we all do or we wouldn’t be selling on here but I say I don’t need it that bad. I’m not desperate. If I accept insane low offers people will expect that. I’m not ok with it. No reason to undercut ourselves. It does take a lot of time and effort to sell on here. It’s a job.
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@laurag_finds @brilldelights It infuriates me even more when I’ve received an insane offer from someone who sells on here. I am shocked at the level of entitlement I see on here. I just had someone ask me to make a special pair of earrings to go with A pair I had listed. So a special order. I did and then they didn’t want to pay for them. They wanted to pay for two pair what I charge for 1. All of my jewelry is handcrafted, one of a kind and reasonably priced.
Feb 07Reply

brilldelights
@laurag_finds Soooooooo true. My posh is NOT a “closet” is what I call my “POSH SHOP” . If you’re cleaning out your closet GREAT!! But more then half of us poshers are selling BNWT or BOUTIQUE items, someone like me, I quit my job and I’d say this is half (sometimes more) of my regular income. It’s beyond disturbing to me to receive lowballs bc if I go to TJ Maxx and see the SAME Rebecca Taylor for $150 I’m selling for $66 then I’m CLEARLY selling for way less then even close out stores!!
Feb 07Reply

brilldelights
@ambentzen you are joking me!!! Your jewelry is GORGEOUS. I don’t even bother offering. I like items and I almost only buy in bundles. And I most certainly wouldn’t ever dream of insulting anyone with an offer so I always ask them to send me one, I’ll ask them to hold something until I have enough posh money, etc.
Feb 07Reply

brilldelights
@laurag_finds no one would ever even ask for any kind of discount at a store unless an item was clearly damaged and even then more then likely the answer is no, unless it’s a privately owned boutique, where then the prices are probably triple anyway. I refuse to lower my prices like that. My prices are squirrelly low anyway....I’m in no rush either. Honestly I’d rather donate them then give ppl the impression I’ll take any offer too!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 have a great FRUITFUL high offer weekend ladies 💖❤️💖
Feb 07Reply

laurag_finds
@ambentzen It’s the closets that have most items listed for $5-8 that get me. Even if you aren’t sourcing and they are your actual Clothes, you still have to, hopefully wash, style, take pictures and list. Isn’t your time worth more than making $2-5? And Angel, your jewelry is reasonably priced for hand-crafted items. I have made earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. if you use quality materials it is not cheap plus you pay yourself for your time. But ladies, we are preaching to the Choir.🥰
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@brilldelights thank you. That’s what I do too or if I only want one item I pay the list price. I really get angry when people send me offers for items less than $15. Every time I think if you can’t afford $10-$15 maybe you shouldn’t be on here shopping. I’m sure I think that because I pay the list price unless I’m bundling multiple items.
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@brilldelights You have extremely reasonable prices. I’m happy when I find things on here that are half off what they are in the store. That’s a great deal. Idk what people want. I have no problem offering someone a great deal but not at the expense of myself. I would never have the nerve to send anyone offers like I’ve gotten. I’d be embarrassed.
Feb 07Reply

ambentzen
@laurag_finds yes definitely my time is worth more than $2. I am more flexible with items that are not jewelry - to a point. I refuse to undercut myself on the jewelry because as you said it costs to get the stones and supplies to make the jewelry and the time it takes to actually create a piece. I hope more and more buyers read our signs and conversations and maybe put themselves in our shoes and stop offering ridiculous amounts for our items. Wishing you lots of sales and good offers 😊

I so agree with all of you! I thought it was me ! I get so many lowball offers, that I thought I was doing something wrong! Just an example, I posted something for $7. They offered 4, with Posh fees, I’d rather keep it then make$1.05🤦♀️🤣
Feb 24Reply

ambentzen
@roncristo92218 exactly! I think that bothers me more than any of the low offers. When the item is $10 or less and they offer half of the price. I think can’t you pay the listed price? It infuriates me. I think some people think posh is a flea market.

The shipping is high, when the taxes are added it can get unreasonable. More than occasionally I have seen offers that by the time you add it up you can buy it new. That's not reasonable. the offer button is there for a reason you have every opportunity to counter, but you should take the extras into consideration. I've never gotten my asking price but I have sold it fairly and in the sprit of what Poshmark is intended. Rather than get angry why not remember what you're trying to accomplish.
Jun 10Reply

ambentzen
@phildenofrio I have reasonable prices in my closet and offer discounts on bundles. In no way is offering half of a list price an acceptable offer. I shop on here as well as sell. There are too many people that treat posh like a flea market when it is not.

an offer is just that an offer not an insult, counter with an open mind and see if you can't make a sale rather than get angry. Poshmark is not high end retail either. And by the way, stay safe, this is a terrible thing running around.
Jun 10Reply

ambentzen
@phildenofrio yes I am aware of what the offer button is and how it works and I know how to negotiate. I am an experienced seller. Yes there is very high end retail on poshmark. Quite a bit of it actually. Perhaps you should have experience with a particular seller before you start telling them how to do things. Have a good day

@hailtofashion 🌿💕Agreed! I also can’t stand when people make an offer which are supposed to be binding and then you accept and their payment info isn’t up to date. It’s like Hey Poshmark can you please send an auto reply to the buyer when they try to make an offer like “oops looks like you need to update your payment info before you can purchase this item.”💕🌿

😂😂 This is amazing! So true 🤷🏼♀️🛍 and for some sellers here to defend them. I highly doubt you’d walk into Tesla or Honda & offer 1/3 of the price and say, “well I have to pay taxes, gas and registration”. GTFOH. Don’t buy online if you can’t afford $7.11 shipping. 🤦🏼♀️ I’m a single mom I do this so I CAN buy the extras and not be cheap or rude to others. Tip well during the pandemic & be understanding. Nothing we are selling is essential. 💝
Jul 25Reply

abbi_916
@laurag_finds a lot of those they the sold the items off Poshmark and just used it for the shipping label or it’s trades. 📦🛍
Jul 25Reply

laurag_finds
@abbi_916 How would that work? Thanks for buying my item- now go to Poshmark and buy the label? My mind is not that devious. But I see loads of $3 SOLDS when I run comps from low to high and don’t get it. Scratching my head.🤪
Jul 25Reply

abbi_916
@laurag_finds There’s a lot of Facebook groups for different items and groups and other places. They usually use The other 2 D & M (it made me remove their names) very rarely do I see people say Poshmark. But yes P-pal or V-en-mo (sorry it wouldn’t let me type those) me xx amt and shipping will be xx on whatever platform. I’m only assuming because after the $3 posh fee they’d make nothing. Or just trading 🤷🏼♀️

As a price negotiator in overseas transactions, offering half is not always intended as an insult. Typically a vendor will ask for WAY more than they expect, and you counter with half that, and then work your way back up towards a reasonable expectation of profit. As a buyer / seller, I find that many sellers ask for a great deal more than they can reasonably expect. Some people are ridiculous, and are just out to yank your chain because they think you're asking too much. Others hope 2 deal.
Aug 11Reply

ambentzen
@dropdeadgothic while that may work in those situations it has been my experience that the people offering half to 95% off of the listing price are not interested in negotiating. They are not serious buyers at all. They are trying to get something for almost nothing. I not only sell on here but I also buy regularly and the vast majority of sellers have reasonably priced items. Any discount we offer comes out of our profit and posh also takes 20% of each sale.
Aug 12Reply

ambentzen
@dropdeadgothic sellers don’t mind negotiating at all as long as the buyer is being reasonable. You wouldn’t go into a store and put $100 worth of items on the counter and tell the cashier you’ll pay $30 and expect them to agree. It shouldn’t happen here either. Each closet is a small business. We are not flea markets.
Aug 12Reply

dropdeadgothic
@ambentzen I agree, I don't mind negotiating at all, if a potential buyer is being reasonable. I determine what reasonable is, by gauging whether a low bid is a sincere, if calculated gambit, or someone trying to pass the time by wasting mine. I tend to see Posh stores as having more in common with flea markets than you seem to. A brick and mortar or mainstream online store doesn't have the flexibility of negotiating pricing on the fly, that allows Poshers a degree of nimbleness that
Aug 16Reply

dropdeadgothic
traditional stores don't enjoy. Also, having worked in a flea market, I know they are made up of booths (stores) that are independent of each other, and are essentially independent businesses within the whole, with dealers making selling decisions based on advantage and profit. You make solid points, and my own was just to say that we shouldn't let our penchant for reactionary outrage get in the way of realizing that opportunity doesn't always arrive in the form we prefer or expect. Cheers.

I had someone do this recently! I had a 3 for $15 sale (my listing included detailed instructions on how to get the discount). Thet bundled two items, one of which was included in the sale, the other I had just listed for $30. They made a $15 offer! I couldn't believe it. I know how much work goes into being a seller so when I see items I would like to purchase, I message the seller if I would like to offer a lower price and ask them if my offer is reasonable for them. Like What?? Who does that?? If offers are ridiculous low I just counter w Orig listing price which means not EVEN gonna BEGIN to go there with you!

I've definitely had similar type offers from ppl on Facebook marketplace and kijiji previously, and honestly it's kind of insulting. @marynelisa it gets annoying. I have found that some people start negotiating by offering a crazy low price. So when someone offers a crazy low price like that I counter with my lowest. If they counter back with a dollar more or $5 more than than their insane offer I will send my offer again and that’s it. Once in a while it starts actual negotiating. Some are just trying to get something for nothing. I am not down with that lol

@ambentzen I get it. There’s a couple people on this thread that are rude to lecture us on our attitudes which are probably among the lowballers we are talking about. You answered one of them very well. I had one a year ago that offered me a ridiculous stupid offer like 70% lower than my listed $. I countered, them she had the nerve to go lower. I blocked her arse. Nobody got time for that bull. 😉👍🏼💕

@ambentzen Right? And I just received my 1st 50% offer last night. I was so glad I'd seen this post first - I politely countered with the same 10% I'd initially offered. Dec 08Reply

nicakat2
@reginarani this happens to me too. I’ve priced a few items as Firm-please no offers and they continue to make offers. Do you just decline or ignore?
Jan 12Reply

reginarani
@nicakat2 technically, it goes against the algorithm to ignore or decline an offer. I just declined and blocked today which probably went against me but I don’t care - it was a super rude offer. Few things you can do 1) add to a bundle and explain nicely that this is your bottom line, your price is firm - you’d be happy to ship asap if they purchase today 2) I would recommend just increasing your prices 30-40% higher to accommodate offers. Everyone likes to feel like they are getting a deal
Jan 12Reply

reginarani
@nicakat2 just ask if you have any more questions. Also know what comps are for similar items- it’s important to stay close in price to what other similar items are selling for
Jan 12Reply

nicakat2
@reginarani oh ok I didn’t think of increasing my prices. I’m starting to sell more on posh now. Thank you so much for your advice!

Jan 12Reply

reginarani
@nicakat2 yes you have to account for fees they are very high and shipping is too but if buyers bundle - it really is a great deal shipping wise but no one seems to get that! Ask anytime!

How would you feel if a larger seller bought a virtually brand new item from you for $75 and turned around and listed it for $275? Then pretended like it was theirs and they “only tried it on.” Asking for a friend 🤣
Dec 14Reply

catharinecloset
@derinda That is so true! There is a lot more to it than how much the item (s) cost. For some of my used clothing that needs it, I have to use dry cleaner sheets that I have to order online. Not to mention money spent on jewelry boxes, tissue, etc. I think ignoring the people who insult you be offering half the price is a good idea. They don’t deserve the time it would take to answer them.
