Basquiat Untitled 1983, Limited Edition Tee from Uniqlo Japan

BASQUIAT IN MEMORIES 1960-1988 Limited Edition Tee from Uniqlo Japan. Licensed with permission from Estate of Jean Michel Basquiat. Graphic of the late iconic artist’s work “Untitled 1983” featuring Wax Wings/Icarus/Nero in Sketches. Muted Teal, in Size XL. Measuring 22.5” pit to pit, 26” long shoulder seam to hem. Made of 100% Cotton. On the net I found one that sold for $52 on G*railed years ago and same shirt seems to have resurfaced on another site for $120. This was my son’s shirt, purchased while living in Japan in the mid 2000’s, to the best of his recollection. Well made; letters and numbers are not the cheap plastic type that peel eventually, more like a velvet-like appliqué. See last photo — color is brighter than IRL but you can see what I’m describing. Condition is Very Good. No stains or holes but the cotton has a soft, gently worn look and feel.
