Basil

Basil leaves dried and chopped. This herb is an excellent seasoning for tomatoes, pizza toppings, pasta, and making pestos. Very good source of vitamins and minerals. Sweet basil has a slight pepper like taste and reminds me a little bit of cloves or Anise. I use it to make pestos and season pasta dishes.
